Pronouns: She/her/hers

Phonetic pronunciation of name: "LA-CEE"

Role at Evergreen: Clinician

As a therapist, my goal is to meet you where you are at. To allow all of you to be seen, heard and validated. While creating this safe container, begin to explore together where you have been, and who you are deeply desiring to become. Together, shining a gentle flashlight on perhaps the scary or harder areas, but together discovering the courage, strength, wisdom in all that you have been through. As hard as it can be, helping you slowly create a new narrative and turn perhaps some of your greatest pains into your greatest gifts and strengths.

Why I do this work

Much of my childhood existed in tending to my Mother's needs. I realized later on in life that I became the people pleaser, and diminished many of my own needs to take care of my own parents. It wasn't until I lost my Mother in my early twenties to cancer that I was able to break some of these cycles and empower myself to fully heal, and love myself. So perhaps through some of my biggest pains and losses, I have been able to find my own courage to step forward again and again. This then took me on a path to want to help others who also have gone through trauma, loss and some form of fragmentation in there lives. My work as a volunteer in hospitals sitting by the bedside, facilitating cancer support groups, and later working at trauma treatment centers and addiction centers reminded me that it was possible to also help others with old wounds heal. I am honored to walk this path with you, and help you get to a place of more joy, ease and peace within.

The best part of my job

The best part of my job is when someone breaks deep ancestral wounds, patterns in there family that perhaps no one else could have done. When they begin let there old narrative slowly fall away, and create a new one that they never knew even existed. Whether that be leave an abusive relationship, heal childhood trauma, or say yes to more joy in life. I am always so humbled to be part of this process every day in my career. Feels like very holy work.

How I spend my free time

I spend time in nature, hiking, going to the beach. I love doing yoga or dance classes, seeing friends. Anything that allows me to reconnect to my own essence and peace and joy.
